Hi CJ. Is that all the information you have on your birth mother (your son’s grandmother)?
If that is the case, it will be tough finding her on your own. Why? Her name is too common to work with without having additional background information on her.
We suggest that you first sign up with all the major registries like isrr.org and adoption.com to see if your birth mother is looking for you. We also suggest that you obtain non-identifying information on her. (Please read our posts on what non-identifying is and how to obtain it.)

Hi. CF. Now we understand what the deal is here.
Perhaps your best bet will be to contact WARM. They’ll be able to tell you if you can initiate a search through their program on behalf of your son (it may require your former husband’s cooperation; we are not sure). Their program involves using confidential intermediaries. If they accept your case, an intermediary will be assigned to obtain the adoption files from the court and then find and contact the birth grandmother on your behalf. They’ll provide you the birth grandmother’s contact information if, and this is always a big if, the birth grandmother agrees to contact. If she doesn’t agree, then they won’t provide you any contact information.
We believe WARM charges a fee around $300 to $500 but you’ll have to verify that with them.
You can still go to various registries and sign up with them to see if the birth grandmother is looking for her birth son. We’ll be posting a lot of information on registries in future posts and will also be providing a free registry service on this website. For now, just go to google.com and type in: “adoption reunion registry.” You’ll get tons of information.
Your other option is to hire a professional search company to investigate and pursue all leads in finding the birth grandmother. Of course, we recommend our parent company: http://www.omnitrace.com. Hi, I am trying to help my mother in law look for her birth parents. I know she was born September 15. 1952 in illinois. She was stolen from her babysitters home as a small child. Her birth certificate was altered and her last name was changed to match the mother who stole her. Her name is Frances ann, and she believes her birth last name was either johnson or johnston (not sure of the spelling). This is the only information i have. if you could help or know of anyone else i could try it would be appreciated. thank you
I was wondering if you could help me. I have been searching the internet for a way to help my boyfriend find his father. He hasn’t seen him since he was 2, and really wants to find him. The man’s name is William Ray Rodenbaugh. He was incarcerated when my boyfriend, Billy jr, was young, and was released years ago. He just wants to try and find him, and if not him, his parole officer to just give his father his information, so maybe his dad can call him. Billy is now 22 years old, and does not even know his ftaher, who Billy is told looks just like him. I know that this would mean the absolute WORLD to Billy, and I would appreciate the assistance in finding this man. Hi Nikki. Can you tell us how old you think William is? An exact date of birth would be even better. Where was William born? Where was he last residing? Where was he incarcerated?
Any other identifying information on him such as his parent’s names, where they resided, how old were they will be helpful.

im sorry i forgot to put my moms maiden name… the name on her birth certificate is bonnie andrea weisel. we know she was adopted but we think it might be illegal or something because her parents never really talked to her about it but her aunt slipped one day and mentioned it. but her birth certificate says her adoptive parents names but are spelled wrong and think it might be fake.
also one of my goods friends’ aunt has been missing since October 23, 1985 from San Diego, California and classified as an endangered missing. she was born October 23, 1966. her real name is Mary Colette Rawlinson. but also uses the aliases of Rita Elizabeth Price or Elizabeth Rita Rawlinson. if you find any info please let me know.

Hi,I am looking for my brother,the only info I have is that he was born around 1967,and his name is James David Ward,and his moms name was Rebecca Holt ( not sure about the last name) but his dad was my dad,Arthur JAmes ( A J ) Ward. I have been searching for my birthmother or birthfather on and off for 10 years and have some pieces of information that I would like to know if you can help me with. I was born in St. Louis, MO on
04-15-1961 at Jewish Hospital.
This was a private adoption that took place April 18, 1961 in either the Salem, IL or Springfield. IL courts.
My birhtmother’s name on the decree was Carol Ruth Craig with a possible birthdate of 02-14-1944. She may have been from Mt. Vernon, Ventralia or Centrailia, IL.

Trying to find my mother’s birth family. All adoptive family has passed away. Adopted parents were named Ralph and Betty Puglsey. Birth mom was thought to be from or living in Springfield, Ohio. She used several names. She is thought to have had a daughter named Sara / Sarah that was born 1953-1956. Birth mom traveled with adoptive parents until it was time to give birth. There may have been other children who stayed with birth mom’s father during her absence in 1957 and 1958. Any information would be helpful. She used the name Charlene, Sharline, Patricia and the last name Cardon (Cardin?). Hospital was Kings Daughter Hospital in Ashland Kentucky. The birth mom was apparently introduced to adoptive parents through James Hall (brother of adoptive mother) and his wife Hazel. It is said they shared a duplex with birth mother and her father. I believe the address was on Limestone St.

Do a nationwide search for her phone number by that name. You may get addresses. I did that after learning my birthmothers name and wroteto everyone by that nameand 6 days later she called me.

Hi my name is davon hampton and when i was 10 years old both me and my little sister was in foster for something my brother had done and said which they found out he was lying and a out of control kid so they took him away and said that me and my little sister can come home to our mother. So was at home but before you know it they sent us a letter stating that my mom had to go to court because my brother said that he fear for me and my sister lifes but we were okay at home and happy he was just out of control not coming home from school and stealing from stores and my mom had the cops to bring him home plenty of times from the streets late at night.
So anyways i was old enough to talk out against him in court and so they let me go home and kept my little sister in our ame foster home i had just left and they said if my mom can complete the classes they had assigned her to my little sister can come home we even had visits to see her. So my mom completed the classes and got a certificate for completing the classes and they stil did not give my little sister to my mom and said that if one of our family members can come and get her and be her guardian she can come home but to there house and so my grandparents tried to get her and they wouldn’t let them either and that’s when my sister was 10years old.
The last time i’ve seen her was when my mom was 39years old now she is 44years old and we don’t know where she is last time we heard that she would be put up for adoption but we don’t know when or where she was adopted or not adopted or where she is or not?
I cry every day and sometimes i still cry because when we were together in the foster home we had the same room and we cried ourselves to sleep thinking about our family and our mom hoping we can go home together but when they can for me and took me out of the foster home to go to court and send me back home i cried and pull her they reep us apart and we was crying so hard that it still hurt when i think of her being alone with me protecting her like i always did in school and outside tell we get with our mom than we both felt safe and loved.
I pray every night for her to find me or i find i even thought about going on oprah show to find her.

Although I don’t know the family at all, I put up a memorial website for Keli Kay McGinness, who disappeared from the Sea-Tac Strip (Pacific Highway South), at the intersection of South 216th Street and Pacific Highway South. I read of Keli’s disappearance in Ann Rule’s book, GREEN RIVER RUNNING RED. Keli was working as a prostitute in the Seattle area, despite her mother’s pleas to leave that lifestyle and come home. She is thought to have been murdered by Gary Ridgway (aka the “Green River killer”) but her body has never been found. Keli left behind two children whose father was her pimp, a girl, who has made contact with Keli’s mother, and a boy, whose name is Travis and was adopted soon after he was born. I know that Keli’s mother, with whom I have made personal contact to tell her about the website I put up for her daughter, would love to meet her grandson. There was a message posted on bravenet about this, written by Travis’s girlfriend, but when I tried to e-mail her at the address given, the e-mail was returned as undeliverable. if the administrator can find out anything, I think it would be a wonderful Christmas present for the mother of this girl, who has been missing since 6/28/83 and is presumed dead. I am praying you read this as I have written so many letters to almost everyone that can do something to find my baby boy I gave birth to in November 1970. I came from a very abusive family and when I got pregnaut with my son, I thought it best for Christopher to placed for adoption. My parents made sure no one saw me where I lived, put me in a home in St Louis, MO to live with a Dr. and family and watch there children till it was time for me to deliver. Well I manage to stay there till my ninth month and had to come home as I was placed on the third floor of this house and just couldnt walk it everyday and watch the children properly. I called my Dad and told him he had to come and get me or else. He came and got me. My stepmother didnt help me much and I guess I made their lives pretty miserable. They got in a huge fight and she left with her daughter and left me there with my Dad and siblings. I then went into labor that night. My Dad retired Navy had medical on me and had to take me to the nearest military base to give birth which was Scott Air force Base,Ill. He got me there just in time. I guess there was a mix up at the hospital and I was not suppose to see my son, which already started bothering me terribly, laid him in my arms and that was all it took. Instant love of a child. He was so beautiful and I was able to bond with my child for 3 days. But I had to bring back across the state line to Hazelwood, Mo for adoption procedures. I couldnt go through with it. I wanted my son. But my parents (Father) said if I keep him we would be out on the curb, turning to my grandparents, was told I would be disowned. I couldnt raise my son on the streets. My son needed love and a normal family to be brought up in. They didnt waste any time coming to get my son. He was gone and my heart has been hurting ever since. Yes, a long time has passed but your not the first, I have written so many letters, even when there were no computers. I am praying you can help me find him. I need some closer with my life. Even a picture. I feel all these years was like a part of me died and he did to. Yes, the lose of a child is devistating. I pray for him and love him dearly afterall he is my son. I am not asking for him to response if he doenst want to. Just taking the mystery out of my life. Please Please help me. God bless you my dear son, you need to know the real story. You are so very much loved and missed.
