There are so many ways to search for someone’s address in the USA with free resources on the Internet. Some address search websites, such as Internet white pages, are obvious choices. Other address search resources are not. Today, we’ll address how to use tax assessor public records to find people anywhere in the USA.
Tax Assessor Database
This is a great website database to find a tax assessor office anywhere in the USA. Why would you want to do that? Because a tax assessor has access to address information dating back several years. The address info is public record and they will search for an address on your behalf. A tax assessor has information about real (real estate) and personal property (auto, machinery, mobile homes, etc.).
A couple of ways to find someone’s address when calling a tax assessor’s office are:
- Supply the tax assessor office your missing person’s old address and ask for phone and address information on the current owner. Then contact the current owner who may know your missing person’s whereabouts (or at least provide you clues to where he/she moved).
- Supply the tax assessor office with any address information you have on the missing person and they may provide you with the missing person’s current address and property information–if the information is on record.
Typically, you’ll find people working at assessor offices throughout the USA to be quite friendly and helpful.

In many instances, you can access tax assessor records and search for a USA address on line (for you chickens who are intimidated by the phone 
). When searching online, you can typically input the subject’s name to find an address or input an address to obtain an owner’s name.
